Borrow against the assets you already own.

An asset-backed loan converts your receivables, inventory, and equipment into a credit facility sized by a borrowing base. The stronger your assets, the more you can draw, at pricing unsecured funding rarely matches.

Sized by your assets, not just your credit

Your borrowing capacity is calculated from the value of what your business owns: receivables, inventory, and equipment.

Often larger than unsecured funding

Because the facility is secured by real assets, approved amounts can exceed what revenue-only underwriting allows.

Grows as you grow

Sell more, invoice more, hold more inventory, and your available capital rises with the asset base. No reapplication.

A real person, not a portal

An advisor walks you through the facility structure by phone.

What is an asset‑backed loan?

An asset-backed loan, often called asset-based lending or ABL, is a business credit facility secured by the assets your company already owns: accounts receivable, inventory, and in many structures, machinery and equipment. Instead of underwriting primarily on credit score or a snapshot of revenue, the lender sizes your available capital from a borrowing base, a formula that advances a percentage of eligible asset values.

That structure changes what is possible. Facilities are often larger than unsecured funding, priced lower, and they scale automatically: as your sales grow, your receivables and inventory grow, and your available capital rises with them. There is no need to reapply every time the business levels up.

Before anything starts, your advisor shows you the advance rates, the eligible-asset rules, and the full fee structure in writing. You see exactly how your borrowing base is calculated, up front.

How it works

1Request in about a minute. Share the basics in the short form. No documents needed to start.

2Review with your advisor. A real person reviews your asset mix by phone, including receivables aging, inventory schedules, and equipment lists, and estimates your facility size.

3Asset review and facility setup. The lender verifies the collateral and sets your borrowing base and advance rates. Your advisor drives the process and keeps you updated.

4Draw against the base, and grow. Draw capital as you need it. Report your assets on a simple schedule, and your availability recalculates, rising as the asset base grows.

Why business owners choose asset-backed funding through Denali.

Built by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs.

Bigger capital, lower cost

Secured by real assets, the facility is often larger and lower-cost than anything unsecured underwriting would approve.

The borrowing base does the qualifying

Approval is driven by the value of your receivables, inventory, and equipment, not a perfect credit history.

Capital that scales automatically

Growth in sales means growth in assets, which means growth in available capital. The facility keeps pace with you.

Revolving flexibility

Draw, repay, and redraw against the borrowing base as the business cycle demands.

Dedicated support

Experienced advisors structure the facility and walk you through reporting, so the borrowing base works for you from day one.

A fit for complex situations

Rapid growth, seasonal swings, turnaround, or heavy inventory cycles. Asset-backed structures handle what rigid products cannot.

Asset-backed loan FAQs.

The borrowing base is the formula that sets how much you can draw: eligible assets multiplied by advance rates, with receivables, inventory, and sometimes equipment each counted at their own rate. Your advisor shows you the exact formula for your facility, in writing, before you sign.

Primarily accounts receivable from creditworthy business customers and saleable inventory; many facilities also include machinery and equipment. Assets must be verifiable and free of conflicting liens. Your advisor reviews your specific asset mix on the first call.

No. Factoring is the sale of individual invoices. An asset-backed facility is a secured revolving loan against a pool of assets: you keep ownership of your receivables and typically manage your own collections. Facilities are usually larger and lower-cost than factoring at scale. Your advisor can tell you which structure fits your volume.

Sending the short form does not run a credit check. Setting up a facility involves a credit review and collateral verification, and your advisor explains exactly when and how each happens before anything is pulled.

Asset-backed facilities require periodic reporting, typically a monthly receivables aging and inventory schedule, so the borrowing base stays current. There may also be an initial field exam of the collateral. Your advisor walks you through the reporting rhythm before you commit.

We work with credit scores from 550 for asset-backed structures, and the asset base leads the underwriting. Businesses with strong collateral and imperfect credit are often exactly who this product is built for.

Working capital at scale: inventory purchases, payroll, expansion, refinancing more expensive debt, or smoothing deep seasonal swings. Draws are yours to deploy across the business.
